UNITED ASSISTANCE
Every day there are underserved individuals and families in need. Often we are their last hope. They are on the verge of losing their home, electricity, or water. These are individuals and families who live paycheck to paycheck, so when they are faced with an unexpected medical bill, job loss or other emergency it can be devastating to their family. The need is real. With the United Assistance program we will be there to help the veteran, the single parent, the individual facing an uncertain medical diagnosis, and the elderly with no family to help. We will be there to help feed hungry individuals and families through its food pantry. United Assistance offers a helping hand when it is needed the most.
A LITTLE HELP CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.
Disaster Volunteer Coordinating
Over the past few years our area has seen an increase in the need for volunteers to help during and after a disaster. Disaster volunteer coordinating will help to coordinate volunteers to assist with hot meal preparations for first responders, help locate shelter and food for displaced persons and families, and to assist the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Food Bank, EMA and local shelters during and after a disaster. Disasters can strike with little or no notice. Our goal is to be prepared to respond to these calls quickly and adequately.
United Personal Finance Education
One of the problems we work to solve is financial stability. We will begin a new program working with individuals about learning the importance of saving and budgeting their money. We have partnered with a local bank to begin a series of classes. We will introduce them to savings, planning a budget, checking and making wise money decisions. By teaching the importance of these values, we hope to ensure they make informed financial choices as they move forward in life and avoid struggles and displacement
