Valdosta’s The Haven food pantry partners with United Way to provide for those in need
Have you seen the white box sitting outside The Haven?
There are three white boxes distributed throughout the city of Valdosta. Acting as the community’s newest food pantry by The United Way, the boxes are to provide families with extra help when needed.
With items like baby food, feminine hygiene products, and basic food items, The Haven says boxes like these were needed now more than ever.
«Since the onset of the pandemic, a lot of the food pantries and places people would get closed down due to social distancing and being unable to do that, and so that’s where this project really got started,» said Karen Yawn, the manager of The Haven.
Items can be donated to the pantry at 1807 Plum Drive in Valdosta.
