Agency Spotlight: The Boys and Girls Club of Valdosta

The Boys and Girls Club of Valdosta is a part of Greater Valdosta United Way’s agency partners.

With two Valdosta, Ga locations and one Quitman, Ga location, the Boys and Girls Club have been a part of Valdosta’s community for over 75 years.

Through their work, programs have been built around character and leadership, education, health and wellness, sports and recreation, workforce development, the arts, and fun. The programs are available to the youth ages of 5-18.

Through the after school and summer programs, members are encouraged to find a place where they feel safe and loved. These programs involve scheduled educational activities and physical activities. Special programs such as kayaking and robotics are available.

The Club serves 1,000 young people across Lowndes and Brooks County. Two sites have recently been opened near public housing communities to better reach those in need. A new Boys & Girls Club in Brooks County has also recently been completed. The Club in Brooks County includes a K-5 Building, Teen Center, Gymnasium, Bike Trail and Aquatic Facility.
