Valdosta Rotary Club donates to local United Way COVID-19 relief
“Service Above Self” is Rotary International’s motto, and the Rotary Club of Valdosta upheld it by donating $5,000 to the Greater Valdosta United Way COVID-19 Relief Fund. The support given by Rotary will significantly help agencies and individuals that are struggling through these difficult times. The GVUW is using the COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide food and help residents with water/power payments in Berrien, Brooks, Echols, Lanier, and Lowndes counties. The Rotary Club of Valdosta, which was established in 1919 and is a part Rotary International’s network of 35,000 clubs worldwide, has always participated in community service that includes financial support for literacy, educational programs, and financial hardship assistance for law enforcement officers.
