LAMP Celebrates 35 Years!
In 1984, the Lowndes Associated Ministries to People, or LAMP, was created and today, 35 years later, the organization is celebrating! This celebration not only recognizes the age of the organization but also the tremendous growth that has occurred during that period.
Yurshema Flanders, interim shelter director, said the agency has grown tremendously since its inception.
The anniversary event replaces the traditional Homeless for a Night gathering LAMP usually hosts in November.
